The OLED MacBook Pro release date could fall in October or November, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who says Apple may introduce its first touchscreen MacBook Pro this autumn. The timing is a report, not an Apple announcement, 9to5Mac says.
Gurman gave the estimate on the first episode of Bloomberg’s Power On podcast, published on October 1. “Apple, I believe, will introduce its first touchscreen MacBook Pro this fall, as early as October. It could slip to November, but as early as October,” he said on the episode.
MacRumors also reports that Gurman expects 14-inch and 16-inch models with touch-enabled OLED displays in that window. Apple has not confirmed a launch date or new MacBook Pro models. Apple last confirmed MacBook Pro models in March, with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
The render below is contextual MacBook Pro artwork from earlier reporting, not an image of the unannounced OLED model. Tbreak has previously covered the touchscreen and Dynamic Island rumours and the reported OLED panel technology.

OLED MacBook Pro release date: October or November?
Gurman’s wording leaves room for a slip: October is possible, while November remains within the window. He did not give a specific day. 9to5Mac notes that earlier reporting had allowed for the product to move into early 2027, so this is a tighter forecast, not a guaranteed launch schedule.
MacRumors says Apple is testing the laptops with macOS 27.2, which is in beta, and suggests an announcement could come later in October. That is a timing clue, not proof that the machines will be announced then. The OLED MacBook Pro release date remains unconfirmed until Apple says otherwise.
What should MacBook Pro buyers do?
For shoppers, the decision is straightforward but not risk-free. Anyone with a working laptop who specifically wants a touchscreen Mac can wait a few weeks for Apple to clarify the rumour. Anyone who needs a computer now should judge the current model on its own merits rather than treating an unannounced redesign as a certainty.
Apple’s UAE store lists the current 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro. No local launch date has been announced for the rumoured OLED models.
Is there a UAE price for the OLED MacBook Pro?
Apple has not announced a UAE price for the rumoured model. Its UAE store listing is for the current MacBook Pro, so it cannot be used to estimate what a later OLED model might cost.
Could Apple call it MacBook Ultra?
Possibly, but the name remains unconfirmed. MacRumors reports that Apple may keep the MacBook Pro branding or choose a higher-end name such as MacBook Ultra; Apple has not announced the OLED model.
